On the 9th of October 2025, MBO Capital Management Limited (MCM) hosted its inaugural Investor Forum at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos. The forum was an opportunity to showcase MBO Capital’s diversified investment portfolio, demonstrating the growth and performance of our portfolio companies and introducing forthcoming initiatives.
In his opening remarks, Jide Ogundare, Chief Executive Officer of MCM, set the tone for the day’s discussions, reaffirming the company’s investment thesis:
“At MBO Capital, we believe that the best measure of performance is not just financial return but the ability to build enterprises that last, enterprises that create jobs, provide essential services, and strengthen the communities in which they operate”.
The keynote address, delivered by Dr Biodun Adedipe, Chief Consultant, B. Adedipe Associates Limited, explored the theme “Unlocking Growth through Impactful Investment.”
Dr Adedipe stated that impactful investment begins with purpose, urging investors to focus on long-term value creation and socioeconomic transformation.
The investor forum featured presentations from seven of MBO Capital’s portfolio companies, each showcasing key growth milestones and value creation initiatives. Presenting companies included Retail Supermarkets Nigeria Limited (RNSL) – operators of the Shoprite Nigeria-, Afyacare Limited, Lagos Lagoon Highway Limited (LLHL), FCSL Asset Management Limited, Metrowave Sports & Infrastructure, Sourcing and Produce Limited, and Utilita Energy Limited.

The creative industry also took centre stage through an engaging panel on film financing, featuring Asurf Oluseyi (Creative Director, Asurf Films) and Ladun Awobokun (Chief Content Officer, FilmOne). They explored opportunities in the Nigerian film industry and MBO Capital’s support for this sector.
