MBO Capital Management Limited (“MBO Capital”) is pleased to announce that Agusto & Co., a foremost pan-African credit rating agency, has assigned MBO Capital an ‘A(IM)’ rating in its 2025 Investment Manager Rating report, up from an A-(IM) rating in 2024.
The ‘A(IM)’ rating reflects MBO Capital’s growing operational track record, improvements in the manager credit assessment framework, a strengthened corporate governance structure and an experienced investment team, thereby reinforcing MBO Capital’s status as a structured and capable investment management institution.
MBO Capital Management Limited was incorporated in 2012 and is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to operate as a private equity fund manager. The company operates through three business verticals; principal investments, private funds and advisory services, and as of 30 June 2025, had assets under management of ₦60 billion.
According to Agusto & Co., an investment manager rated ‘A(IM) demonstrates good investment and risk management capabilities. The report further recognised MBO Capital’s commitment to continuous enhancement of its internal frameworks and the professionalism of its leadership team.
